I watch the Virginians everyday. Best western show ever.
I still watch the Virginian
I love the Virginian and because I watch it every day, the cast members are like family members to me. I would love to see them in 2017. Thank you so much to all who participate in this show.
My husband and I watch an episode of “The Virginian” every night. We’ve been buying DVD series on Amazon and limit ourselves to one episode each night! Love the show, and I love the theme song. Just beautiful. James Drury made the show, but ALL of the cast members were perfect. There could never be an acceptable re-make of this show. We hope nobody ever tries it!
No one could take the place of James Drury or many of the other Cast. If there was a remake though, actors would have to be carefully selected to imulate the personalities. I am currently watching them from Starz.
I just wanted to add that I agree with everything you said and want to add that “the Virginian” DVD’s are available on eBay, and I am buying them too. I am very lucky though because there are reruns every evening from nine to midnight on TV so I can wait to watch the DVD’s when the quit running the reruns. Thank You for saying what everyone enjoyed about the show…. TY to all the stars that made the show such a success, I know most are gone now but there are a few left to say THANKS to!
I watched the Virginian as a little girl and am watching it now with my husband, James drury is my hero!! We love watching the show every night! Thanks so much to all the cast for makin such a great show to watch now and forever!!
This was the BEST dipiction of the old west EVER produced on television! What surprised me were the huge amount of acting and then Directoral & Producing credits Tim Matheson racked up after being on the show from 1969 -1970! I watch this series almost every night it’s on and never fail to hear & see something new, even though I’ve seen each episode at least once or twice already! It’s still delightful entertainment!
