Hi Paul
This is slightly off topic but do you know if any of the Virginian cast members wrote autobiographies.
The reason I ask is that I recently read a autobiography by Jim Bannon who played Uncle Sandy in Champ. His book was an indepth and colourful read of an era in movie history that was more insightful than books I have read by more established stars.
Bradford Dillman (Who guest stared in Smith and Jones and Virginian episodes did)Also wrote an Autobiography but it was in my opinion simply full of self praise and a glorification of hollywood.
Michael
Charles Bickford wrote an autobiography Michael titled Bulls, Balls, Bicycles, and Actors (1965). Before his days on The Virginian. Frank Price talked to me about it. It’s long out of print.
Thanks for the research Paul-
The title. Bulls,Balls ,Bicycles sounds excellent.
I will let you know if I manage to obtain a copy.
Have a good Christmas.
Where Iam located in Sweden we had the first fall of snow yesterday.
Iam off to England tomorrow but the snow will be here on my return untill at least march:
I believe your weather in Virginia is simillar.
Michael
No snow yet in south west Virginia Michael. We don’t usually have the severe winters you have in Sweden but it has been very cold recently and we may get some snow this weekend.
Happy Christmas and enjoy your stay in England.
